Introduction

The DeluxHost API lets your scripts do what you do in the dashboard: list and power your servers, watch their metrics, manage Storage Boxes and Anti-DDoS rules, read invoices, open tickets and place orders. Every request is made with a personal API token that carries only the permissions you chose for it.

Requests and responses are JSON over HTTPS. Amounts are integers in cents (EUR), timestamps are ISO 8601 in UTC.

1. In the dashboard, open Profile → Security → API tokens and create a token with the account:read scope. It is shown once: copy it somewhere safe.
2. Call /v1/me. It returns your account and the scopes the token actually holds, which makes it the right first call and the right one to check when something answers 401 or 403.

Beta: API access is enabled per account. If every call answers 403 even with the right scopes, ask our team to enable it for you.

• Read Authentication and give each token the fewest scopes it needs.
• Handle errors by their code, not their message.
• Respect the rate limits and back off on 429.
• Send an Idempotency-Key on anything that spends money: see Idempotency.
